Well, week 3 of the trail race series is in the books. Last night was hot, but not nearly as humid at the previous week. On the trails, in the shade, it wasn't too bad at all. My mom came again this week, which was nice and I got to catch up everyone. As it turns out, a bunch of the runners had also done the triathlon that I did on Sunday.
Oh wait...
I did a triathlon on Sunday and then a trail race on Monday? Why yes I did. Does that make me hardcore? I hope it does.
I ended up using the trail race as a recovery run. It felt good to get out there and stretch my legs. Honestly, I was not as sore as I thought I was going to be from the triathlon. I walked twice and just generally took it easy. I enjoyed the park's scenery (I'll have to bring the camera one of these weeks) and wildlife. Final time this week: 36.13 minutes. I was satisfied with this performance considering the conditions.
I promise a full race report from the triathlon tomorrow. The splits just went up today and I need to get me pictures organized. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
You are totally hardcore!
ReplyDeleteHaha wow you are definitely hard core. You know you are hard core when a race becomes a "recovery run" haha. Can't wait to hear about the tri!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the unfortunate summer break schedule you commented on on my blog- I usually work full time in the summer too but this year I couldn't go to my normal job because my honeymoon so I'm just tutoring. It pays the bills and occupies a lot less time so we'll see if I ever go back to my regular job haha
