Dealing With Stress The Right Way

Yesterday morning, for no apparent reason, all the stress of planning this wedding hit me like a ton of bricks.  With one week left to go, and with most of my projects done, I just felt so overwhelmed.  I was really proud of myself with how I decided to handle that stress: I went out for a run.  I didn't eat anything, I exercised instead.  I need to learn to do that every time.

The run started off pretty warm.  But the sun was tucked behind some clouds, thankfully.  And then, gloriously, it began to rain.  It has been so hot and so humid that the rain was such a welcome relief.  The run was slow because I've been pretty lazy with all this heat.  But I felt so much better after.  When I got back I did some yoga, foam rolled, and stretched and I felt relieved.


  1. Dealing with stress is however really easy to do when you make an effort, If you are are dealing with stress then first learn not to take everything personally. Your behavior is the only thing that you can control.

  2. That rain must have felt great....can I tell you how much I love my foam roller? Not a day goes by that I don't use it.
